Review on πŸ¦† 10 Feet Duck Adhesive Weatherstrip - 1278972 by Seth Gomez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The rating is based on what I used it for.

This review is based on why I bought this product which is not intended for use. I have an Outback Trading Co. Terrible hat which I had to buy a size up as it doesn't stretch and I was between sizes. I was tired of the gusty wind blowing it off my head, so I bought this product to put under a cloth sports band and tighten it. Frost King was recommended to me, but I trust Duck Brand, so I decided to give it a try. This weather strip was as thick as I thought I needed when it's soft. The foam adheres very well to hard surfaces, unlike the inner fabric of my hat. I didn't try to attach it to a real cap, I just cut out what I needed and ended up tucking it under the tape to the headband because I don't want to risk damaging the cap if the glue doesn't hold in passage of time. It fills the size of the gap I personally needed to fill and is soft and soft enough for my comfort. Even though I don't stick to my type of hat band, the crease of the band seems to hold it very well. I'm not worried about it falling out as there is 10 feet of material in a roll and it only took me a few inches. The "Warmth" rating isn't quite as accurate as intended, but I didn't notice any additional uncomfortable warmth for my use, which is good, and that's why I gave it a midfield rating. I don't know yet if it will be uncomfortable in warmer weather. If my mind changes I will update the review but so far everything is working fine. This material adheres well to hard surfaces.

Pros
  • Weather Protection
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
