Bought this for my car trailer after the previous one (different brand) couldn't keep up with the speed and ran away like Benny Hill being chased by an angry mob of strippers complete with silly sax A cover is thick. Certainly not like Sir Mixalot's, the baby was fat, but I'd say it's fat enough to get his approval. UPDATE 6 months later, February 2021: I am updating this review as the material on this cap is not working. In my case, this is a tire on the side of a car trailer. The good thing is that it stays in place and won't fall off. Bad: Due to the strong wind, the lid started to fall apart. If it was mounted on something at the rear that wasn't directly exposed to freeway speeds, it would probably last a while. I also think I have a trunk that is 1 size larger than the 205/75r15 trailer tire as it wobbles a bit. I will update this with photos if possible but just something or people to consider. If it's in the back of a Jeep or Bronco, it'll probably be fine for a while.
