First, it can be washed in the dishwasher. I had a few that didn't and were a pain to clean. Second, you can easily cut, quarter, and halve an egg by swapping out the included cutters. Most just one slice and that's it. It's so easy to use and foolproof. good device. This is an amazing hard boiled egg slicer. Works very well and is easy to clean and maintain. This is way better than using a knife and possibly cutting yourself. All three stainless steel wire cutters are supplied in a practical holder. This is a safe item and I recommend it.
