This is another European style spatula for gelato. It's even used to make ice cream "flowers" in France and Italy. It works great as a regular ice cream scoop, it's also smaller than a traditional scoop and better suited for deluxe ice cream in a pint container. The tabs in the aluminum allow you to slide the ice through, making the ball of ice look more like a roll than a ball, but that's okay. Please note this is not anodized aluminum so wash with soap and water, not in the dishwasher. It does the job well.
