I've had this shovel for about a year. I loved it at first, but after a while the coating or something else wore off and it became uncomfortable to hold. It was bad enough but tonight when I used this spoon there was a gray residue on my ice likely due to the coating rubbing off. Good at first, but doesn't last

I saw it at Williams-Sonoma and really wanted it but it was expensive so I checked out Revain and it was half the price . I literally bought this from Revain Prime with 2 day shipping and shipped it back to Williams-Sonoma. Very happy with the purchase and even more happy with the savings and the convenience of checking out Revain's competitive prices while shopping. This is a heavier (well made) ice cream scoop that can easily scoop ice cream.

This ice cream scoop makes very smooth balls. It's also more than I expected! It does a great job of making hard ice cream with ease. I would make sure you didn't put it in the dishwasher, but I don't mind hand washing. I just wash it off until I'm ready to do the dishes. I am very satisfied with this product. Thanks to the long handle, your hands will never touch real ice. Very good quality and easy to scoop. I highly recommend it!

This ice cream scoop is amazing. It cuts right through the ice without the need to partially thaw it. It's worth the price. This is my second. DO NOT wash in the dishwasher. My granddaughter installed mine and I didn't realize it until I started. It was destroyed. It turned gray and when you try to use it turns gray all over the ice. I guess all is not lost because my husband is now using it to dig through the dirt, transplant and do whatever a 200+ sago man with the succulent hobby does.

This is another European style spatula for gelato. It's even used to make ice cream "flowers" in France and Italy. It works great as a regular ice cream scoop, it's also smaller than a traditional scoop and better suited for deluxe ice cream in a pint container. The tabs in the aluminum allow you to slide the ice through, making the ball of ice look more like a roll than a ball, but that's okay. Works REALLY well. Just don't wash in the dishwasher! We made that mistake and it looked awful and we ended up replacing it. We prefer the blade, but I'm sure the shovel will work just as well. In fact, after writing this review, I realized what a great Christmas gift or stocking this could be. I think the hardest thing for me was choosing which shovel or shovel! I LOVE this article. I want NO DISHWASHER written on the handle to remind me there have been several close calls!

This is the best ice cream scoop money can buy. Yes, it cannot be washed in the dishwasher as the handle is filled with antifreeze. Helps with easy cutting. Unlike similar, cheaper paddles, this one doesn't have a chrome finish that's slow to chip (into your nice bowl of goodness). brushed aluminum holds it up better than any other spoon. I think what I'm trying to say is this. I love this ice cream scoop; and I want you to love it too.
