I ordered these in preparation for a week long hike in the Rocky Mountains. As a woman, relieving myself in the desert is much harder for me than it is for my male companion, so I wanted multiple options. I've tried the You Go Girl funnel before, but I only used it in trial mode because I just didn't like how it worked. This year I decided to try other options. I have pStyle and this. I take them on a hike, but for what I do I prefer pStyle because it doesn't leave me with a bag of jelly urine to carry around until I find a bin, which is pretty limited. Hiking in the mountains and I don't want to add extra weight to my backpack. If I was in a place where I had better access to trash cans, this would probably be my choice. I like that it's really easy to use. You just put it in place and urinate. It fills, gels and works great. I had no problems with it, it wasn't difficult, it didn't spill, it didn't smell, it just worked. What I didn't like about it was that I slid the bag up my leg as a precaution so I didn't have to flaunt myself, but I could still feel my urine filling the bag, which felt a bit like like peeing in your pants. It seemed to thicken fairly quickly and you can use part of a mug to essentially get all the drips out, but in the end I don't feel comfortable looking for a bin to toss my urine bag up the mountain. Clarifying some questions I had before ordering: The cup adapter part is already attached so it's ready to go for women. The cup is quite soft so it's not very uncomfortable to use. It is somewhat similar to hospital vomit bags, but has a more oval shape to fit snugly against the body. There is no exact location where you need to use it. Just put it where you want to pee in and go. There is a paper bag inside the bag which I think is a gelling agent but it is quite folded. small, maybe 1" x 3" so fits almost anything you carry. It says it can hold 28 ounces so it can be reused if there is space. You could probably fill in more since there is space between the 28oz line and the top, but I suspect there's a reason they cut you off at 28oz so I wouldn't overdo it. For the record, during my "test pee" I topped it up to 20 ounces, but I'm fairly hydrated. I probably wouldn't be able to use it more than once (and honestly I'd be a bit disgusted). There's not really a tie or anything, so as far as I can tell you just get fatter. a urine bag so you can carry something to tie and maybe a dog poop bag or grocery bag to throw away. I don't think it will actually leak as the liquid will seep into the gel sac but if you have an open sac of gel urine it may spill. Overall, I would definitely use this in a place that has a lot of trash cans. I wish I had something like this when I was a vendor at street fairs and events and had to use nasty portable pots that sat in the hot sun all day. It's a great product and I'm happy to have it as a backup in case it turns out to be a better fit than my pStyle.
