not intuitively or reliably on fire

Came with 2. We used our existing butane to fill them. However, it's almost impossible to tell if they contain juice. There is a small window in the pen, but it never shows if there is a liquid level as you pour butane into the lighter. One worked right away, the other made a few fires but didn't always produce a flame. We bought new butane thinking it might be butane. Nothing. Just a spark. Lighters don't come with instructions so just try to use common sense when refilling. There's a small pen loop at the bottom that lets you adjust the size of the flame, and it helps bet we'll never be able to tell if it's on because it's empty or because it's just acting weird. We got these to light our grill and thought they would be good because you can bend the flame head to fit the grill's flame cap. So if the gas flows long enough, sometimes the flickering spark is enough to ignite.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled
