After years of using your typical down or alternative down padding, I pulled the trigger to buy one with a silk fill. My husband is a heavy sleeper and I tend to get cold so he fought for blankets all night because he was getting too hot piled them on me he tried to steal them back when he got cold. This ended the fight completely! I don't know what magic this is, but it regulates body temperature. It's not as thick and fluffy as a duvet, but don't let the lightweight size fool you. We're both comfortably warm/cool all night. It's absolutely perfect. I will never use anything but a silk blanket again! I use it with a duvet cover (not silk) and it still works and protects the duvet.
