I bought this set for my 15 year old daughter as a birthday present. She was so excited to use it. The packaging was so pretty and well done. I liked the compactness of the included lamp and felt like it was a complete kit. My daughter wanted me to try the product for myself as she did for herself. I noticed a few things: 1• Don't put too much gel on the mold. It will pile up underneath and be incredibly uncomfortable. 2• Initially I followed the instructions closely but quickly found that the slip solution caused the mold to detach from my nail before it set, causing it to lift and blister. I solved this problem by using 70% alcohol to remove the residual oil from the slip solution before placing the gel filled mold on the nail. I cured it immediately with no further problems. 3 • Tapered the gel at the bottom where the cuticle meets the gel. This will make your nail more comfortable and last a lot longer too. 4• My daughter followed the YouTuber's instructions instead of the instructions that came with it, unfortunately it didn't turn out well for her. My suggestion is to follow the instructions that come with it. except for the use of the slip mortar mentioned above. 5 • I really want this set to be more adapted for a mature adult. There are many butterflies in this set. No, seriously, I've found those damn butterflies EVERYWHERE! I'm grateful they have a set for the younger generation but would appreciate it if they had one. I dunno, a woman in her forties who doesn't like neon butterflies on her nails. I hope this review is helpful.
