This is the second mount I've installed this week as we're renovating the house. So I've got this setup on "Science" shut down. I'm using my OWN 24" spirit level. This mount is not included. In some others they are "built in". In any case, I can find a stud without a stud finder - and so can you - (no wall is perfect - just shine a flashlight at the surface of the wall and you'll eventually see the outline of the nailhead under the paint ANYWHERE, or the nearest electrical outlet knock on them to the wall on either side (or remove the panel and just look. Determine which side of the stud the outlet is nailed to. Measure the preferred mounting location using a 16" OC as a baseline). Take, take a thin nail if you want and drive it into the "stud spot" in an inconspicuous place to be safe. Keep a quick putty knife nearby to patch the nail hole if needed. Either way, this is a great fixture. I've hooked up a 32" Samsung. A horizontal adjustment would be a nice touch, but a bit of "slack" is allotted to the top and bottom bolt holes. Maybe 3 -5 degrees. I usually leave 5 star reviews on items that have stood the test of time, so this might end up being a 5 star review. I'm just a conservative.
