A7R4 isn't for everyone, but if your niche is high resolution and mirrorless performance then it's fantastic. Eyes. I can shoot tiny jumping spiders, killer bugs, flowers, lichens, mosses and all sorts of incredibly small objects. APSC mode (or Crop in Lightroom) makes this camera both the highest resolution full frame camera and a phenomenal crop sensor camera. Win! In combination with the Sony 24-70 F2.8 GM I can take all my everyday photos without macro photography. Things like street photography, baby photography, family photos and more. If the presence of two slots for memory cards is crucial for you, then you will definitely like this feature. Most mirrorless cameras (e.g. Nikon) are a damn joke! So sad! Seriously, if you don't have two cards in your camera, then it's just a toy, not a tool. Professionals cannot risk losing photos. File size is huge, disk space management can be difficult, fast computer helps to process and manage your files. Google Drive doesn't support Sony RAW files, so I also save JPG versions for quick review. More space has passed. takes longer to load. The app is really great for a newer app. Linking always works, but only if you do things in a specific order. They have to fix that. I can control my exposure triangle in the app and capture and view a low res example. Ideal for remote shutter releases. Does not allow touch focus. I want far focus with a focus loupe. Would die for the same with the in-app focus overlay mode. I may be a dreamer, I'll probably never see it. Okay, and the back screen. Seriously Sony?! Still poor resolution but the biggest sin is that the screen still doesn't tip over like Canon cameras! Holy smokers, grab the hint Sony! Vloggers are very important, stop ignoring them! At the very least, the app can give you the ability to view the live view on your mobile phone remotely. So this seems like a workaround to me. But I see that it doesn't work very well for people who blog a lot. Instead, most people could get along just fine with the A7R3. Can you benefit from the savings? Could you use this for more accessories or glass? Will it help you more than a resolution jump? May be! For macro photography, super high resolution really helps a lot. Know your needs! I hope this helps you choose your next camera! I love my Sony A7R4!
