So I installed them without removing the bumper. Followed the video on YouTube. let me tell you I'm a small woman with small hands and it was quite difficult for me to remove the screws from the end pieces. I tore my hands a bit (especially my wrists) and it took just over an hour to complete. But I will say the finish is worth it. I have a 2019 Grand Cherokee Altitude and they fit great.
