I read many reviews while searching for some faux flowers to accent 2 tables in our master bedroom. There were several attached to this item complaining about their plastic fake looks and other such issues. I found that yes these do look fake as they are not silk (per their description) and they are not real but they are still really pretty. They do not smell overly funky and once placed cannot be smelled at all. They come well packaged and after you spread the leaves and flowers and bend them to the look you prefer you have quite a nice little accent piece. The vase is really cute and heavy allowing for a more solid look. I probably would not use these as the only item in the middle of a dining room table but if you bend them correctly and accent around them they will add a pretty and easily managed look to your room. I would suggest this item as long as you are a reasonable consumer that understands fake plants tend to look fake. These are a much prettier fake than most.
