Review on 🏠 Optimized Home Master 3-Stage Sediment Filter System - HMF3SDGFEC by Ahmed Rowe

I wanted to wait a bit before writing my review. The water here in Prince Frederick, Maryland, Calvert County isn't the best. The water has a strong smell of sulfur and a high iron content. We installed this system for the first time and everything worked great. Then the smell started to return. I called the company to see what else I could do to get rid of the smell. They suggested several solutions: A) Pour 2 cups of unscented concentrated bleach into each empty sump and close the system by hand tightening and tightening with a wrench. Don't overdo it. b) Drain water from the water heater. C) Turn on the main water supply to the system. D) Open the faucet at the point furthest from the system and run water until you smell chlorine. Flush the toilet. Repeat this at each point of use that moves towards the filter system. If you find that the rotten egg smell is only coming from hot water, I recommend flushing the water heater, in addition to checking the link below to verify the integrity of the sacrificial anode in the heater. Replacing the anode with an aluminum-zinc alloy anode often also solves the problem of hydrogen sulfide accumulation. We ended up calling a plumber to replace the anodes and flush the system. It worked, in the end we also decided to buy another filter: Kdf85 Catalytic Carbon GAC Filter - 20" x 4.5". We received and installed it in July 2016. We have a lot of water and now we have to replace it again. We have modified our system so that it does not include outside water. We believe this is why it wears out so quickly as we live in a new house and added a new lawn this fall which has had to be watered extensively due to the drought. I like this system so far. It works well, the water comes out clean, odorless and fresh tasting. I highly recommend this system. Also, if you are at a well, create a well report and send it to them so they can help you set up your system. I wish I had initially, they are very helpful and knowledgeable about their products. They can also tell you which system is right for your needs. Very impressed with their customer service and they even called me to find out how the system was working for us later.
