Review on AmazonCommercial Grey Ergonomic Mid-Back Mesh Desk/Computer Chair with Adjustable Seat, Armrests, and Lumbar Support by Pamela Bellancoutt

Revainrating 5 out of 5

If you're tight, this is for you. Believe me.

I've searched every office store and Amazon for the perfect chair. THIS IS ONE. I needed very specific requirements for the chair: 1) The distance from floor to seat is about 16-17 inches (SUPER is rare in office chairs and severely limits my options from the start). ) I'm below average height and finding chairs that are low enough to put my feet properly on the floor (WITHOUT SHOES because I work from home) is EXTREMELY rare. 2) Flat seat cushion (waterfall seats are too common) because when I'm playing computer games I like to spread my legs a bit. 3) A seat cushion that is flat or can be reclined/tilted forward (I prefer to lean forward very slightly when actually working on the computer). By default, most office chairs recline slightly. 4) Mesh back but fabric cushions. (That alone limits things from the start.) 5) The backrest can be locked very far forward: This is honestly the ONLY chair I've seen that reclines significantly forward. Very similar back angles that aren't really 90° but have a slight back angle. This chair can isolate the backrest and recline almost 15-20* forward (which is too much for me) so I can find the perfect angle to really set my posture at 90*. Overall, the seating comfort is perhaps 8.5 out of 10 points. The seat is firmer than my old chair (an Office Depot Workpro 12000), but I'd rather have a firmer seat than a weak seat that hurts for an hour. My old Workpro pillow is so good that I can sit happily on it for over 10 hours. The settings on it are exactly what I need. It should be noted that the seat cushion is very short from front to back. I prefer that and that's why I didn't overlook the fact that it has NO seat depth adjustment. Only one minus: let me say in advance that in addition to adjusting the seat height and the height of the backrest, the chair has two main non-standard adjustments: 1) the inclination of the lower cushion 2) the angle of the back. The problem is that the bottom pad tilt is actually related to the tilt function. Confusing but let me explain. I read in other reviews that "the seat is too hard" or the chair is not comfortable. I have a feeling that the standard "lower bolster tilt" actually tilts forward in the unlocked position, causing people to sit with too much coccyx pressure. So the "normal" way to sit in this chair would be to lock the "lower cushion tilt" either straight or slightly back to relieve pressure on the tailbone. To use the tilt, you must then unlock the "lower pillow tilt". I personally don't mind because feature 2 is mentioned in this section. The build quality is solid. As long as you're not aggressive with your belongings or weigh under 250 pounds, it's solid.
