I received the wire today and as soon as I stripped the insulation off I noticed the wire was much thinner than expected. With a regulated power supply set to DC, connect a 1 foot cable to the output of the power supply, then set the current and measure the voltage across the cable. I made 4 measurements at 0.5A, 1A, 1.5A and 2A. All four voltage measurements divided by the corresponding current gave a resistance of 0.033 ohms. At 1000 feet the resistance is 33 ohms. Using American Wire Gauge, 33 ohms is equivalent to 25AWG wire.
