Review on New Balance Womens W580LG5 Running by Sheneka Lane

I've been running in New Balance shoes for at least 10 years. The fit was far more precise than the Urge, Rush, Zante - they were all ridiculously small. My worn out shoes were a size 8 but I put on a size 8.5 and they fit well. They aren't as wide and roomy in the toe box as my old shoes, but that seems to be the case with all NB shoes in recent years. My real issue with them was the lack of arch support - they were almost flat on the inside - and the long tongue. It went over my ankle like I was wearing a boot. I couldn't take it and if you run regularly you know your shoes have to be "right". Overall, it felt like a generic Walmart or KMart branded shoe - good for short yard work, but not on your feet for long periods of time.
