I didn't like that old slides got stuck and had to be removed with tweezers. But hey, these slides were made in the 1940s. The viewer is ideal for organizing slides before transferring them to new formats. You know, so you can give them to your kids and grandkids and be sure they'll watch and enjoy them on, say, a flash drive and not an old Kodak Carousel projector. And there is a way to watch the movie. I haven't started sorting color film yet, but I can't wait to get started. There's about a thousand miles of film that I wanted to throw away because of the challenge. Now I think I can do it. I bet there will be many surprises like the 1952 earthquake in Bakersfield, California.
