Review on πŸ›οΈ Serta Never Flat Pump Raised Air Mattress by David Carter

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Well, while it lasts.

The Serta mattress is comfortable, practical and the pump never runs out without complaint. But this mattress is only a short-term fix. The top of the bed is covered with round coils that create dozens of stress points as the mattress inflates. The seams of these stress points WILL BE BROKEN. It's only a matter of time. And worse, since the stress point is a seam, your leak will be a tear rather than a hole. This tear will grow and there is nothing you can do about it. To make matters worse, the surface of the mattress is not vinyl but a felt-like material. Felt undoubtedly increases comfort, but patching the top of a mattress is like putting tape on felt shoesβ€”it doesn't stick. Serta includes a self-adhesive patch that's ridiculously ineffective, but even the standard airbed patch kit I've bought myself won't patch a seam tear on a felt surface. I liked this mattress while it lasted, but you can bet it won't last long.
