This bit, like all Whiteside bits I've bought in the past, has the best performance. I bought a drill to make a sap groove on an edged cutting board and I've also used it to cut grooves on the ends of an edged cutting board so the boards can be easily processed. The wood burned slightly when I first used the racquet, but I realized it was my fault. I didn't move the workpiece fast enough on the router. This drill bit cuts so fast I was able to go through it faster without burning or cracking. Whiteside bits are more expensive, but they're a lot cheaper than the cost of damaging the workpiece with a low-quality bit. I highly recommend this and all Whiteside beats. And no, I don't work for a company. I wish I had.
