I was looking for a wireless/bluetooth headset to use at the gym. I started with the LG HBS-730 and while they sounded great, they didn't work that well with my workouts because when you do something on your back (like squats) they slip off your neck easily. What I wanted: nice crisp sound, decent bass, light weight, stick to the ears in any position including jumping, running and back work. I almost fell and bought the expensive Fry Electronics Jaybird Freedom Sprint headphones. I spent $85 on them, put them in my car and really, really hated how they sounded. The Jaybird uses Bluetooth 2.0 and the audio is muffled - it's not crisp and clear at all. The highs sound dull and the bass is flat. I returned them immediately. I saw someone write about the Wingz 4.0 in a Jaybird review and didn't really think the $45 set would be any better. Man I was wrong. Wingz 4.0 are amazing! Several people have noticed that the Wingz's left earbud is louder than the right one. The first pair I received - the red pair - had this problem. They still sounded great, but got annoying after an hour of use. I contacted Neojdx and they responded very quickly, confirming some shipping issues and saying they would definitely replace it through Revain. I bought a new set and they sent me a pair that work great. A quick rundown of what's great: - Outstanding sound quality. These aren't high-end Bose headphones, but they're perfectly fine for training. They have a strong signal, the highs are pleasant and the bass is decent. I set the iPhone 5 equalizer to "Rock" and everything is fine. Without an equalizer, the difference is noticeable. However, they sound a lot better than the Jaybird Freedom Sprint. I think it's mainly due to Wingz's Bluetooth 4.0. - Bluetooth connection is very easy and on my iPhone 5 you can see Wingz battery level, another plus for Bluetooth 4.0. - Super light. I was surprised at how light they are - you really don't feel the weight on your ears. - Headphones are comfortable. Another surprise. A lot of in-ear headphones really suck. You stay in shape and feel good. The rubber fender really helps and is comfortable too. - The battery life is quite normal. They say 8 hours but I can't say that because I haven't used them for so long. Another benefit of the Jaybirds is that they only have 4 hours of battery life. I charge them after using them 2-3 times at the gym. I spend about an hour in the gym every time I visit. - Call Quality: Again really surprised by the quality. Nobody has hearing problems and I can hear their voices perfectly. I usually have a big problem with soundproof in-ear headphones like this when making phone calls because you don't hear your own voice when you talk, but for 20-30 minute calls they're fine. the cord may catch around your neck when you turn your head. If you move your neck a lot, just move the cord in front of your neck, not behind it. They still work great and fit perfectly in the ears. Hope that helps. I definitely like it and will continue to use them during my workouts. They are way better than the Jaybirds and LG Bluetooth devices I've used in the past.
