There are some identical RAM modules of the type I was looking for to upgrade my laptop. From Samsung to generics from China. I was initially skeptical about buying unbranded RAM chips, but the price difference between branded Samsung/Transcend/Crucial/etc. It's from SK Hynix. Came in a taped hard plastic box which must be ripped open to open the box. The strap was intact, which gives me confidence that it was never opened. Installation was easy. I booted my computer and found the extra RAM with no problems. I checked the system properties and indeed there was extra RAM. I haven't tested it for speed so I can't confirm how fast this RAM is. All I needed was more RAM for the browser cache and other programs I could work with so less memory was swapped out (causing slowdowns). Now my system runs noticeably faster and programs don't take too long to start. Recommended.
