These sturdy and festive lights work just fine. I bought three strings, unpacked them and hung them over my concrete patio. I took reasonable care not to damage them, but they hit the concrete a couple of times. When I connected them everything worked great. I like the different modes and the included remote control for each string works well. I liked that the battery was included. I also like that one console can control all three strings. Since I want them all in the same mode, I positioned them so that the receivers are next to each other. One click and they all turn on, off or go into the same mode. Initially I was hoping to chain strings sequentially, but they aren't set up for that. Since I wanted all recipients to be in one place, that wasn't a problem. Three strings softly illuminate my 900 square foot patio. ft. They are perfect for the atmosphere of the party I was going to.
