I've been able to use it to access the internet and take calls so far, after a lot of searching and googling I came across instructions on how to set up another one but it worked for the waveshare module, google "mPCIe Modem QMI Interface Internet Connection Setup #2" and open the "embeddedpi" website. I connected the module to Raspberry Pi 4 using both gpio "gpio is needed for AT commands" and USB which says "usb" and not "usb to uart" when I was using minicom communicated with the module /dev/ttyUSB3 , I think this module uses ttyUSB2 and ttyUSB3 for AT commands. By the way, the signal strength was pretty good - about -60 to -70 dBm in the United States.
