Review on Minka Aire Wall Control System WCS212 by Katresa Jones

Revainrating 5 out of 5

We have ordered several wall switches for different rooms

We have ordered several wall switches for 3 different rooms to control 3 different fans. Everything was simple, except that the paper instructions didn't say that you had to pry off the front cover to reveal the frequency switches, which had to be set differently so that the fans in different rooms could be controlled separately. If you don't do this, all switches will default to controlling ALL fans in your house (when the main power switch/blue light is on). If you require more than one Minka Aire fan/wall switch, then the following is important to note: First and most importantly, the main power (blue light) must be turned off at all wall switches in all but one room of the house. you program Pry up the front cover of the wall switch to reveal tiny frequency switches and select a number (e.g. #5). Press the 5th frequency switch, then press the middle button on the front of the wall switch for 5 seconds until the fan indicator flashes. The wall switch is now programmed to control only that fan. Next you need to program the remote control. Remove the battery cover to reveal the frequency switches. IMPORTANT: They are actually numbered 1-8 (not 2 sets of 1-4 which is misleading!). Remember that it is actually 1-8 and press the 5th frequency switch. Then press and hold the center button on the REMOTE front panel for 5 seconds until the fan indicator flashes. Now both the wall switch and the remote control only control this fan. Finally, turn off the main power (blue light) on the front of the wall switch before proceeding to program other fans/wall switches/remotes in your home. Be sure to use different # frequencies in each room and write them down somewhere. Hope that helps!
