Review on Planet Bike Protege 8 Function Computer by Ronald Orear

I bought this Protege 8.0 by accident. We already have two Protege 9.0's and when I was looking to buy one for my new bike I thought it would be the 8.0. The only difference I see is that 9.0 can also show temperature. While the temperature reading can sometimes fluctuate a bit (+/- 4 or 5 degrees Fahrenheit) and the device is certainly affected by direct sunlight (like any temperature gauge), I still think it's a cool feature that's worth the extra cost. a few dollars. What I really like about the Protege 8.0 and 9.0 is the 4 line display that can show up to 5 different readings. To me, this is better than constantly pressing the button to go through all the different readings. I'd rather glance at the display than take my hands off the panel to press a button.
