Comes with a very small battery (only 150mAh I think) but the lighter is powerful. If you can place it between the arcs, the lighter has enough power to melt plastic almost instantly (which can be handy in some cases) and ignite most combustible materials with minimal smoke, fume, or anything else that would occur with a conventional flame are connected. The flashlight is surprisingly bright for its size and the size of the LED. (They use a high-power/high-efficiency 5mm diode.) The light turns off after a few seconds (15-30s) to save battery power and avoid heat-related problems. The light is very bright and quite far-reaching. It's almost like a headlight. If they made the battery a little more sensible, this would be one of the best products you can get or give to your loved ones. I'm taking mine apart right now because I'm going to put a larger capacity battery in mine and print a new case for it. ; )
