No test glass required, works great with the included case.
Just used this for the first time. I decided not to buy a separate glass for samples. The plastic case that the hydrometer comes in works perfectly. The plastic cover is also quite narrow and half filled with liquid. As soon as you immerse the hydrometer and it doesn't touch the bottom, the liquid looks almost full. Tested it with water and then used it for home brewing. See image. Works perfectly. Caution: The plastic case is very tall and narrow, when you use it to measure, be careful not to knock it over. Do not install it on an inclined surface.
