The unit is easy to install if you already have an electrical plug under the sink and there is a free hole in the sink/countertop. The TDS meter is accurate. I tested it on another manual meter and the readings were identical. My city water shows between 350 and 400 ppm, so I'm not surprised that I can't get my filtered water below 25 ppm with this device. Let it run for about 30-40 seconds to get a consistently low TDS PPM. As soon as I turn it on it shows the last reading I had (25ppm) for a few seconds, then it jumps to around 150-200ppm and then slowly back down to around 25ppm. This is a problem if you just put your cup underneath and start filling and then drinking. It takes a few seconds to get accurate readings and you actually fill your cup with high TDS water of 100-200ppm but don't see any updated readings. What I have to do is let it run until I reduce the amount of PPM and then fill the jug with water. I like cold water so it suits me. But I still think they should make it where there is an automatic clean water rinse after each use so that doesn't happen.
