I want my old umbrella Totes Totes

The only product that changes style and unnecessary technology more than car models are umbrellas. Often not for the better. I wanted a replacement bag 22605 ca 05956 which I love 5 stars but am not thrilled with their more current line. I found the Totes website less than helpful and had trouble figuring out the closed shapes and proportions of the Totes umbrella. The product thumbnails in their catalog only show the open/expanded configuration, I had to click on each product to view the closed configuration. High quality close-ups of pens (I don't like foam pens, less durable, they decompose and crumble over time, harder to control) and materials didn't help, mostly low quality zoom/upsampling, small size. product photo. I chose the Totes Titan Compact Travel Umbrella, a wind and waterproof auto open/close umbrella that is more compact. was there a second pop?) and it hit me in the stomach. I will live, more of a surprise, not a good first impression. I've never had anything like this in my entire life. There was a false click that made me think the umbrella was closed. I attribute this to the fact that I'm not used to more compact wings. I would still prefer a 16 inch enclosed screen and a telescopic joint. Tip, keep closing until you get the second, stronger click of the latch. The umbrella's telescopic rod wobbles a lot when turning the lower hinge, at least 5 degrees. Much more than I have experienced with previous umbrellas. I am concerned how this may affect the operation of the screen in a strong gust of wind as the gust has a 5 degree roof angle. The new strap gets 1 star with a capital F. First, the old straps were like heavy, woven, strong laces and simple. I will never let you down New tapes are artificial garbage. Instead of a single lace, the new slings are a knot, usually with a less secure elastic loop. Long lasting, less durable but I think there is still a lifetime guarantee. The elasticity creates unwanted bouncing when carrying the umbrella. A rubber band fails much sooner than a shoelace. I really don't like the elastic solution. Next is a Totes-branded hub component that reduces the strap to a heavy-duty floss floss that connects to the grip. This also does not inspire confidence. Unfortunately, the handle is not designed in such a way that I can retrofit the umbrella with a better cord. Actual product photos hide lace details. To their credit, Totes carries a decent lifetime warranty. Hoping they will replace the straps for free without the $5 shipping fee.
