My son just turned 5 and wears a size 12. I bought a size 12 and they fit perfectly. He even has a small room. I ordered a size 4 in black for my 8 year old son who is actually a size 3. I would say they definitely fit true to size. Still, they're big, but the velcro on the back and the drawstring closure allows him to wear them and they don't fall off or look like boats. They didn't have 3 so I took a chance and bought 4. I'm glad I did. Now he can wear it and grow in it. I also bought purple and pink for my 6 year old daughter who is a size 13 which is her actual size. They fit perfectly and she has a small room. Shoes look good and durable. I received them just in time for the change in weather. I am happy with this purchase. I gave 5 stars because they say they are comfortable, look good, feel very sturdy and are not cheap. They haven't worn out yet, so hopefully they'll live up to my expectations.
