It's hard because I LOVE this product. Bought in August (now January). Then this week we went to replace one of the battery packs and it didn't come out. When we pulled it out we found that the charger had melted the battery. I liked everything about this product except the fire hazard. I hope this is an isolated case.

I love that there are 4 batteries! With three Xbox Ones in the house, this is just perfect! I also love the fact that it connects to the Xbox so you can keep it close by without having to plug into an outlet. I've bought several other brands and different types of batteries and they wear out quickly and I'm having a hard time getting them into the base properly to keep them charged. Not with that!

I keep my controllers next to my chair, so the fact that I only have a USB cable (short USB cable!) to power it not only makes for extremely slow charging, but I also had to buy an AC adapter to keep it off my Xbox. The micro USB connector is very fragile! Instead of a red/amber/green charging indicator, it has 4 bright green bars that BLINK while charging! Super annoying! I had to seal them with duct tape so they wouldn't constantly catch my eye. Terribly bright in a dark room when playing…

I like this model much more than the previous weak version. You can just put your controller on it and it will always be correct. The old model had to be adjusted from time to time. The only thing I didn't understand is that I keep a few batteries in the charger, they charge 100% while I watch TV or play a game, if I turn the charger off and on again, the batteries charge again for a time charged a long time while how were they at 100% 5 minutes ago? Loved this charger til it died. I ordered four months ago. Today it suddenly wouldn't turn on or charge the batteries. I thought it was the cable so I changed the cable. It wasn't a cable. We went through three new cables to see if the problem is with the port you plug the micro USB into the charger. If you don't hold it at a certain angle, it won't hold any power. I wish I had bought this sooner, it paid for itself in a few weeks. We switched to YouTubeTV via Xbox so I finally realized how many batteries we were using. Only one battery is mentioned at the moment, but the quoted 30+ hours is a long way off. Get less than 12, charge overnight, son starts using and turning on at 9am, then dies at 8pm. Will try other batteries then maybe I'll update this review when they're around, maybe I've got a bug. Update: Other batteries seem better but still not nearly as good as advertised. It also takes 6-8 hours to charge. I use a 2 amp plug, that should do the trick. I'll swap and see what happens. Update January 2021:

I ordered a dual dock + 2 extra Xbox One controller chargers (I have 2 Elite controllers) to replace the single PowerA chargers (with a controller) that I had for many years .
