I have bought three different Patpet collars. I have to say the customer service is top notch! I had to return the collar because it stopped working and they sent it to me in less than three days. Things happen and I'm glad they stand behind their product. Well, as far as this collar goes, I'm 100% impressed. I had the old style, rechargeable. This requires 2 aaa for the remote and 2 aaa for the collar. The battery life is really good and not having a rechargeable collar comes with some advantages. The main thing is waterproof. The battery seal is great. Water does not penetrate. Another good thing about this collar is for those who love the great outdoors. No need to charge it, you can carry an extra set of batteries if needed. The second thing I like about collars is the metal pins that come with the collar. I have a German Shepherd that weighs 85 pounds and she has a thick coat. The included metal pins help to hit under the fur if necessary. There are also two sets of small metal dog attachments of different sizes and two sets of silicone attachments that cover them for your pet's comfort. The vibration on the collar is amazing! I have bought several different collars from Amazon and this is by far the strongest vibration. I like to use shock as little as possible and having this powerful vibration to correct my dog is just wonderful. This alerts him immediately. The sound is clear and crisp. It makes a nice high pitched beep and my dog responds very well to it. I often use it for training. The range of this collar is quite good. Patpet says up to 1000ft but I've only tested up to 100ft but the collar works great. I have taught my dog to sit and lie down using only vibration or sound from this collar. The remote also beeps when pressed once. Most remotes require a double press, once to wake up, once to buzz, but it's instantaneous. The processing quality is also too low. I was expecting to pay over $50 for this collar at the store. At $24.99 this is a steal. Additionally, there was a coupon that reduced the price to $19.99. The only downside to this collar is the nylon collar. I prefer the plastic collar like other brands for durability. However, I haven't had any issues with durability and this is just my personal preference. All in all, I highly recommend it!
