GOOD BUT EASY TO MAKE PROTECTION

I'm a bit disappointed with this product but it seems to be the standard keyboard case design these days. I had a very old, long dead keyboard that actually fitted the keys perfectly AND wrapped around the sides making it almost impossible to get wet. This one doesn't, and apparently none of them do anymore. It's perfect for the keys (I have an Apple Extended Keyboard), it's a lot thinner and crisper than my old one, but it doesn't quite seem to do the job I wanted. The lid's edges don't reach the circumference of the keyboard case by about two millimeters. So if you do spill something, it's best to hope it's a little and gets it right down the center of the keyboard, otherwise moisture can seep up the edges and get under the keyboard case. Glaze. Not suitable for a product intended to protect. I will say that the feeling of the fingers is better than my old one, almost the same as typing without them, and it's easy to get used to it. A thinner and more transparent material (silicone?) that will not yellow over time. A few pieces of tape are included to keep the lid from lifting, but I haven't used these yet as they don't prevent leakage on the outside edges. This will DEFINITELY keep things like dust, hair and crumbs (yes, I eat at my computer like y'all) from getting in between the keys, but I dread the day (and will come) when I spill a full glass of liquid on my keyboard. For just pennies, this can be an absolutely flawless FIVE STAR product. But now I'm giving it an average three star rating as it's NOT BETTER than other covers that cost less. HEY PRODUCT DESIGNERโ€ฆ pay attention; Make it wrap around the edges and you could easily net two or three bucks more. After all, you're in the business of making protective cases, not keyboards. Do it right, it's not difficult.
