Review on Arkon Gooseneck Seat or Floor Mount Pedestal for Satellite Radios with 4 Hole AMPS Pattern - Ideal Replacement for Car or Truck by Andrew Mack

Don't like hanging mounts on a suction cup or air vent? This mount could be for you.

I love this mount! I looked and contemplated what appears to be the only mount ever made before settling on this one. I use it for Sirius Onyx plus satellite receiver. Since it was a Sirius receiver, I didn't want or need it high up on the dash. I couldn't bring myself to use a suction cup mount or any other mount that would require disassembling the dash or, worse, drilling holes. So I settled on this adjustable seat track mount and couldn't be happier. Installation was easy and if I ever sell the car, removal is as simple as a few minutes of work and a socket wrench and my car won't wear out anymore. One thing to note, since Arkon also offers an 18" version, do the front screws on your seat rails point straight up towards the bottom of the seat, or outward towards the front of the car? If they face outwards (like in my car) you should opt for a longer arm as you will likely need a few inches of arm to get out from under the seat before bending over to where the product will be installed Supposed 4 means that many satellite radios can be properly attached to the mount without additional adjustment tools. As mentioned in a previous review, I also had to sand down two corners a bit to allow the power and antenna cables to fit into their slots on the back of my receiver. However, it was easy and you are not sacrificing the strength of the fortification. This is the second Akron mount I've recently purchased and I'm very happy with both. I will buy Arkon products in the future without any problems,
