From the first day we fed her breakfast in this bowl, our gobbling dog was slowed down from eating it in about 2 minutes to taking around 6 minutes to get it all down. I joked with my husband that it was the first time I heard a dog cuss. Actually, I think it's great for her to have to do the extra work to get the food from in the maze-type sections and since she has a very sensitive stomach, this seems to help her from being sick afterward. It does, however, slip quite horribly all over the floor. That doesn't make it a deal-breaker as her old dish did too and we bought it for the slowing down factor, but it does not stay in one place by any means.
