Economical zipper slider repair kit #5 repaired zipper replacement on granddaughter's sweater skirt. I recommend watching a YouTube video on using needle nose pliers to remove the top zipper stops. Remove the old zipper. Then, starting at the bottom of the zipper, connect the links to close the zipper manually. Take the new zipper and line it up with the top of the zipper links. It may be necessary to cut the material above to get a new replacement zipper to fit over the zipper and have someone hold the fabric while the new zipper is closed. Once the new zipper is on the links, unzip the zipper down. Then go back with the needle nose pliers to press the new zipper stops over the top zipper link. The gold brass look of the zipper pull was perfect with this zipper. I liked that the zipper pullers are included, but all the pullers are silver. But once the zipper is closed, you can't see the zipper stopper. I also really liked the plastic case for storing my many zips and zips. Shipped and received quickly, well packaged, no defects.
