I like my Senwa joystick. It served as a reasonable and suitable replacement for the stock joystick that I bought with another brand's product. Looking at what was available online here, I couldn't tell the difference between all the color options. Although this colored version of the joystick seems to cost less, I needed a hardware replacement and didn't care what color the ball top was. Hell I would replace it or not use it anyway. I'm happy to say that Senwa was a good choice. The racquet has less play when it is in the dead zone. It contacts the microswitches faster when I move the stick. It also has better tension while providing a reasonable level of feedback. Although this joystick gave me a big improvement over the standard joystick I had on my combat joystick, I was happy to see that I could modify this joystick. I replaced the 1lb spring in the stick with a 2lb extension spring. I was also able to replace the plastic actuator (which fits over the spring) with a 1mm larger one. so that it communicates even faster with the microswitches when I move the stick. You can also use this stick to swap out 4-sided or 8-sided goals to improve the game. Trust me you will want to get an 8 way throttle plate. Whatever your gaming needs or choice, the Senwa joystick certainly offers a significant improvement and high quality in this market. I'm new to the fighting game genre in general and recently bought my very first fighting stick so it's really amazing to see all the options to customize my gear to suit my style/needs. I highly recommend you buy the Octagonal Gate that comes with this stick. I also strongly recommend that you purchase a 5-pin female-to-female connector to connect to the encoder board. unless you enjoy splicing, crimping and soldering your own wires. This is a great stick and I love that it's 100% modable. If your standard combat joystick feels like it's not doing the job, I think the Senwa joystick is a good replacement. Two thumbs up! By the way, if you really want a gray baseball cap. It's actually a lot lighter than pictured here. This is not a dark gray top that I would likely use.
