I had some problems with the Z-Wave network with some of my sensors being further away from the Hubitat and not in range of other Z-Repeaters Wave (light switch etc.). I bought these Aeotec repeaters and they've done a great job and I'm getting very good response from sensors that were previously out of range. Before installing Aeotec extensions, motion sensors received many false alarms. If you have a lot of battery powered Z-Wave devices, we recommend you create your own Z-Wave mesh network and buy two sets of Aeotec extenders, or at least combine them with other Z-Wave light switches or plug-in devices to couple which also perform repeater function. Hubitat requires you to download some drivers from the Hubitat community to fully enable Aeotec extenders, and once installed on your hub you will also need to rebuild your Z-Wave network to ensure they have been part of Mesh since several weeks and has not caused any problems in the Z-Wave mesh network since installation.
