Read on to learn how to update the BIOS and use it with 11th Gen processors.

Gigabyte's website states that the GIGABYTE B460M DS3H V2 supports 11th Gen Intel processors. They don't work with Gen 11 out of the box! For use with 11th generation processors, you must update the BIOS to version F21 or later. There are two had to do this.1). Install a 10th Gen CPU on the motherboard and press DEL when the computer starts to enter the BIOS. After entering the BIOS, follow the update instructions. You can download the BIOS from the Gigabytes website and save it to a USB flash drive. After updating the BIOS, you can replace the 10th gen CPU with the 11th gen CPU. 2) Use the Gigabyte Q-Flash Plus button on the motherboard - this can be done with a full build with an 11th gen CPU or with a bear. The motherboard is connected to the 24-pin power supply and the 8-pin processor power connector. Download BIOS F21 or higher from Gigabyte website. Extract the files. Copy ONLY the BIOS file to a USB stick (usually named B460MDS3HV2.F21). There should be no other files. RENAME the file to GIGABYTE.BIN, you must name it exactly as you did in .BIN. If you have a USB drive ready with a GIGABYTE.BIN file loaded, plug it into your motherboard's USB port labeled BIOS. With the power cord connected to power and the computer still turned off, press the white QFlash Plus button on the motherboard below the PCIE slots. If everything is done correctly, you should see a blinking light next to the QFlash button. DO NOT touch the computer until the display is completely off. (about 6 minutes). When the blinking light stops blinking, you can press the power button to turn on the computer.
