My husbands grandfather died of liver and pancreatic cancer just 2 weeks before our wedding and we decided to honor his memory with a pin to attach to my husbands boutonniere is. It was a very kind gesture, and he; was with us in a way throughout the ceremony and reception. It was a very difficult and difficult time for us, but it helped that he was with us in a little picture. would recommend.
