Looks like the tool I was expecting. I've used similar tools before. It takes some patience to move the cork in circles to get the sand on all surfaces. The instructions state that before installing the spark plug in the engine, you can blow out the remaining sand. That's a gross understatement. After cleaning the plug, the plug MUST be thoroughly cleaned of any possible sand residue. This includes using a thin wire to test the sides of the center insulator all the way down, and using air and cleaning solution to ensure all sand is removed from the connector. Sometimes I use an essential spray (starter liquid). . It removes grease or oil that may be stuck on sand. It is advisable to thoroughly clean the connector before using the air tool. Thus there is no oil holding the sand in the candle. If sand is left in the cleaner, it can damage the engine. Spark plugs don't wear out as quickly. Most discarded end caps are as good as new if properly cleaned and adjusted. I use a platinum connector with four ground electrodes which are quite expensive but increase mileage. (I get about an mpg increase just by swapping out those types of plugs.) It makes LOTS of sense to clean those expensive plugs because they last a long time.
