Review on ๐Ÿพ Hurtta Expedition Parka: Ultimate Winter Dog Coat for Maximum Protection by Tara Ford

Revainrating 5 out of 5

When it's REALLY cold.

We discovered Hurtta products 5 years ago after enduring some Maine winters and needed warmer clothing to keep my German Shorthaired Pointer warm. We've always been big fans of the quality and design of Ruffwear gear, but they didn't offer anything that was good enough for the wintry temperatures and winds of northern Maine, New Brunswick and Quebec. Hurtta cold weather parkas are the best cold weather gear I've found. High-quality materials and design features on par with beautiful ski clothing. There are no wear, quality or washing issues with any of the jackets we own. Now, in inland Alaska with daily highs of minus 30 and a few days of lows of minus 45, I wouldn't do without them for my dogs. When it comes to sizes, there are no shortcuts. These are high quality items and must be sized correctly. Obviously, dogs come in bizarre shapes and sizes, so you really need to take your time and use a fabric tape measure, use Amazon's product size chart, check the Hurtta website to see if you're so inclined, and worst-case scenario, be prepared to exchange them Revain . for a different size if not perfect. Poorly fitting jackets can cause irritation, abrasions or even lacerations at seams, straps or cuffs, so I always keep this in mind when using new items for a pair of socks. I had to return the first jacket we ordered and it was painless as far as I remember. Since then, 20-inch jackets, parkas, and "isolations" (long pants) have consistently worked for my 54-60 pound women.
