This is a great lamp to illuminate your projects or just to light up your table. It's very dark in my office and I felt like a vampire, thank god the light didn't kill me. Although he could! The supplied power adapter (USB module) made a strange noise and the lamp went out. I looked at the adapter and lo and behold, it melted! The device is not the best quality! I suggest changing this place. Other than that the only other issue I had was the length of the USB cable, it could have been maybe 2ft more to be useful. Everything else was great. It takes up very little space to mount on my desk, it's easy to move around, and the multiple lighting modes set the tone for those amazing Monday morning meetings. . I replaced the melted power adapter with a good quality one and while using it I can smell burning plastic and the end of the USB cable (the metal part) gets very hot - this is not normal for a USB powered device. It looks like he's drawing a lot of energy. I'll have to attach a gauge and see what happens. However, I will not continue to use it until now. YMMV.
