I really wanted to like this mount. As a replacement for the K-Edge at such a low price point, this could be just the ticket. It's solid aluminum, with no markings, and the color goes well with the grille. The only reason I splice a star is purely cosmetic and maybe somehow functional. When attaching a screw to this mount, there is not enough offset in the mount to keep the device's shield flush with the rods. In this case, the head unit is a few centimeters higher than the bars, which somewhat counteracts the aesthetics. Compare this to an OEM bolt-on that has just enough vertical offset to accommodate face height. But if that doesn't bother you, I can 100% recommend this mount.
