As a pilot who has tried many iPads and knee pads this is the best knee pad I have ever used in a cockpit. The magnets on the metal clip work great and make it very easy to go from viewing the iPad to closing the case to using the clip. Some things feel well made when you hold them in your hands, and that fits the picture. It has strong long velcro that you know will last forever, powerful magnets and nice skin. It might seem like a small thing, but as someone replacing a knee pad a little less than a year old with a Velcro strap that won't hold anything else, I can tell you that it really makes a difference. If you're a flight instructor or someone who uses a knee brace frequently, I highly recommend spending the extra money on it. Just a reminder, another flight instructor had a Pro version and I was torn. I became interested in this brand after seeing its knee pad and I originally wanted to buy a Pro, but I realized that it's impossible to put the iPad in landscape mode with this knee pad on. This is an issue for me as I wear polarized sunglasses which black out the iPad's screen in portrait mode. This one actually lets you turn on the iPad, and it's a bit cheaper these days. Another reviewer complained that it was out of paper. However, I'm not sure I understand the issue, but I can assure you that it comes in handy for paper maps.
