I have medium sized hands and a pair of scissors fit perfectly, I particularly like the little flange - or what they call it that stretches out down the side of one's finger holes . This enables precise handling of the scissors. I agree that they are quite sharp and pointy and if you're not careful you can cut your face trying to reach the hairs at the corners of your mouth - so I think you have to be careful. My mother always told me not to walk with scissors either. One reviewer says he likes scissors with round ends. In my opinion they are for nostrils, not mustaches, scissors, and if they had rounded ends they wouldn't be as effective; But that's just my opinion.
