I've been using Flex Rake brand for years and they the sets I own have lasted for year but the rakes reached the point of no return. I looked into buying new Flex Rake rakes (trays are fine) but when I found I could buy a whole new set of another brand for <$10.00 more than rakes + shipping from Flex Rake I decided to replace everything. I wasn't sure what to expect from this brand as it's considerably less expensive than Flex Rake but I'm very pleased with the two sets purchased after a few weeks of use. I live in a rural area with a large backyard so I plan to purchase at least one more so I can leave them in convenient areas of the yard.The rake is larger than the Flex Rake brand with 11 tines rather than 9. The tines are also less flexible which makes it easier to use in grass. As mentioned, I have multiple large dogs so I definitely appreciate the large size of the pickup tray. The coating on the tray and rake is something new to me and it's a nice change as it makes it easy to cleanup with a quick blast of water from a hose.There aren't any assembly instructions but they really aren't necessary. It took only a couple of minutes to assemble the two sets purchased - and that includes the time it took to open the box. My husband is a little over 6 feet tall and he is happy with the length of the handles.
