Review on 🔌 LWL7W40 F13T5 Cabinet Retrofit for Direct Replacement by Brenda Ward

These LEDs are fantastic! We have fluorescent lights in our kitchen and I'm pretty sure some of them have semi-faulty ballasts. There are 2-3 where new fluorescent bulbs burn out a week or two after replacement. In the end I gave in and let her stay in the background. I didn't see access to the ballasts so I contacted the manufacturer and they told me they are not replaceable - you just need to replace the entire fixture. Unfortunately, this is easier said than done as the contractor who framed them in wood then installed them around them afterwards to give them a clean look. I figured before I go through all the hassle with the new lights I'd try these LED bulbs and see if they last. I currently use 4 of the 21" and 3 of the 12". It's been about seven weeks now and no problems. Apparently, the circuitry in them is capable of coping with any ballast problem. The color is almost identical to 4000K fluorescent lamps (I wait until the last 2 fluorescent lamps burn out), they turn on immediately and use half the energy. I highly recommend.
