I use this in ecology class to take water samples. Please bear this in mind when reading my review - if you work in a university lab you are probably more familiar with such tools, while this is the first time I have installed and used something like this. It was quite difficult for me to follow the instructions. to set up the machine. It comes with a "quick start" card and some of the calibration instructions are different than what is in the manual. Not much, but enough to confuse a newbie like me a bit. Still, I finally figured out the machine and was ready to go. It works great for our purposes - I can't confirm how accurate and accurate it really is as again I don't work in a large lab and am unfamiliar with such fancy equipment. Once the machine is set up, it is very easy to use. I like the little "hand" so you don't have to stick the probe into the liquid sample - it's very handy. I also like how the machine can work with other sensors (you can buy a pH sensor for example and it has connectors and the ability to read pH), how large the readout display is and that it has multiple options when You buy it as is (conductivity, resistivity, TDS and salinity). This sensor is great for my purposes - it would be interesting to see a review from a larger lab that actually uses it more regularly to see how well it performs at a higher level.
